This summarises BGP data collected from WACREN's network in West and Central Africa.

Background

WACREN is the Research and Education Network for Western and Central Africa. Its member countries include Bénin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Tchad, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Nigeria, Niger, Sierra Leone, and Togo. • Analysis Summary, basically the header of the daily e-mail.
• Prefixes visible from AfriNIC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC, and RIPE NCC address blocks.
• Address span per AS Globally, AfriNIC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC, and RIPE NCC. These are the ASNs who are originating the most address space to the Internet.
• Prefixes announced from AfriNIC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC, and RIPE NCC region ASNs.
• League table of number of prefixes announced per ASN Globally, AfriNIC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC and RIPE NCC. These are the ASNs who are contributing most to the size of the Internet Routing Table.
• Detailed table of prefixes per ASNs.
• League table of the possible Aggregation savings per ASN Globally, AfriNIC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC, RIPE NCC. These are the ASNs who are the biggest polluters when it comes to what they announce to the Internet.
• League table of the possible percentage Aggregation savings per ASN Globally, AfriNIC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC, and RIPE NCC. These are the ASNs who, as a percentage of their total announcements, contribute most unneeded prefixes to the Internet Routing Table.
• Looking at the possible aggregation, here are the CIDRisation possibilities per ASN.

• Unassigned addresses being advertised (with origin & transit ASNs)
• Unassigned addresses being originated by unassigned ASNs (with transit ASNs)
